Rubber Flooring Pool Surrounds

Swimming Pool Builidings

You want to make your poolside as safe as possible, indoors or out, and running children and wet floors can be a horrendous mixture - so the solution? Our rubber flooring is perfect as it is flexible, strong and very practical whether it is for a new pool build or to change an existing pool surround and the result is a beautiful surface offering great comfort & safety.

The flooring is made from rubber granules (ground from virgin sheet rubber) + two part epoxy resin (with a base of inert pigments hardened by a polymine adduct in Benzyl Alcahol). It is these rubber chips that then absorb the water and are available in a wide range of colours plus motifs & patterns can be incorporated into the floor if desired.

  • Non-slip - the virgin EDPM rubber has been developed to provide a slip resistant surface, even when it is under water
  • Seamless - the rubber chippings are trowelled into place which provides one continuous surface even around pillars/curved areas so no need for any cutting or grouting
  • Free draining - with a pre-prepared outlet in place the rubber flooring allows water to run undetected over the sub-surface so no need for ugly drainage channels
  • Strong & hardwearing - this is an all weather surface, not be affected by frost, and the flexible qualities make it ideal to cover over cracked/uneven surfaces
  • Cool & comfortable - the rubber floor is soft & extremely comfortable underfoot and it also stays cool in hot weather ideal for walking around the poolside
  • Versitile applications - the rubber floor is also great in changing rooms, patio areas, corridors and leisure areas so not only does the flooring suit home/domestic situation but also hotels, leisure complexes, health spas, etc
  • Low maintenance - the rubber surround is easy to maintain and if an area becomes damaged it can simply be cut-out & replaced with new rubber chips blended in to again be seamless
  • Individual & elegent - there is a choice of 12 base colours blended to suit your own design
  • Rubber chips - the chips will stick to most clean & dry sound floors including wood, concrete, chipboard, tarmac and fibreglass

6mm thick rubber flooring chips are laid onto a clean, dry, base which includes drainage provided at the substrate level. The flooring must be allowed to cure fully before use and it is important on indoor applications that humidity levels are kept low and no condensation is allowed to run onto the newly laid surface. The floor can be walked on after a minimum of 48 hours but to fully cure it will take 7 days at a temperature of 20/25°C and up to 10/14 days if colder than this. A clouding of the resin, which does not affect the performance of the rubber flooring/surround but it can look unsightly and possibly will not completely disappear for a number of months, can be caused with high humidity or foot traffic in damp conditions before a full cure.
